Basic required qualifications:
Current Alaska LVT
High school diploma and clinical experience in the veterinary industry
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients using tact, patience, professional courtesy, and exhibit confidentiality and discretion where appropriate
Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
Monday - Friday availability needed

Juneau is an outdoor adventurists paradise. We currently staff 27 people with 7 Veterinarians. Our hospital is equipped with 5 exam rooms, digital radiology, digital dental radiography, 2 dental suites, large surgical suite, endoscopy, and a multitude of other nice amenities. We are predominantly small animal focused, but do see a handful of exotic species as well. With no nearby referral institutions we see a variety of both medical and surgical cases which affords our veterinarians the ability to do more than just vaccines and dermatology cases! We have a loyal clientele that are willing to go the extra mile for their pets. Experience is a plus (especially surgical), but new graduates always welcomed. |Responsible for all aspects of Anchorage Animal Care & Control (AACC) operations. Supervise and management of AACC operations. Work with Municipality of Anchorage as needed. Provide humane veterinary care and oversight of all animal sheltering operations; including shelter protocols and procedures for all animal, including population management, euthanasia, spay/neuter surgery, housing and enrichment. Represent and prepare documents and provide court testimony in animal cruelty cases. Provide support to MOA legal entities pertaining to MOA Code Title17.
